Screening of "Untited in Anger: A History of ACT UP," Conference, and Exhibition of the ACT UP Oral History Project



To coincide with the anniversary of the foundation of ACT UP, the conference “ACT UP: Thirty Years Fighting AIDS” will bring together academics from various disciplines to reflect upon what has changed, and what has not, in the past thirty years.

The conference will be anticipated by a screening of “United in Anger: A History of ACT UP” (2012), followed by a roundtable discussion with director Jim Hubbard and Dr Monica Pearl.

During the event a selection of interviews of the ACT UP Oral Histories Project will be on view.


The conference will be held at the University of York (UK) on June 1-2, 2017.
